The Memphis Grizzlies dropped a 139–129 decision to the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night, despite a strong offensive showing and several solid individual performances. Memphis jumped out to a strong start and even built a double-digit lead in the second half before Philadelphia surged late to pull away.

The story of the night was a remarkable performance by Memphis native Cam Payne, who delivered a career night off the bench for Philadelphia. Payne exploded for 32 points in just 30 minutes, shooting 9-of-10 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 from three-point range, while also adding 10 assists, three rebounds, and two blocks. His hot shooting fueled a decisive fourth-quarter push, including 13 points in the final period as the Sixers outscored Memphis 41–25 in the quarter to secure the win.

Memphis had several bright spots offensively. Ty Jerome led the Grizzlies with 26 points and eight assists, while GG Jackson added 15 points and Cedric Coward chipped in 13 along with strong work on the boards. Memphis shot nearly 49 percent from the field and hit 17 three-pointers, but struggled to slow Philadelphia’s late run.
