Cowboys acquire WR Jonathan Mingo in trade with Panthers

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones told Shan, RJ and Bobby on Tuesday morning on 105.3 The Fan that they will trade for a receiver before Tuesday's 3 p.m. CT Trade Deadline, and that's exactly what they did a short time later.

Dallas acquired Carolina Panthers receiver Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The Panthers selected Mingo with the No. 39 overall pick out of Ole Miss in 2023. Despite being selected with a high-draft choice, the 23-year-old has struggled since entering the league and has fallen out of favor in Carolina.

Mingo has just 12 catches for 121 yards in nine games this season after posting 43 catches for 418 yards in his rookie season.
