The Cowboys demolished the lowly New York Giants on Sunday, 49-17, at AT&T Stadium. With the win, Dallas is now 6-3 and the Giants fell to 2-8.
Here are some takeaways from Sunday's game:
Dak Prescott carves up the Giants
Dak Prescott had a standout performance, going 26-35 for 404 yards and four touchdowns. Prescott has now thrown for at least 400 yards and four touchdowns three times in his career, setting a new franchise record, according to Cowboys public relations.
What's more impressive is that Prescott did all of his damage in three quarters, as he was put on ice in favor of Cooper Rush with the game out of reach in the fourth quarter.
Brandin Cooks has breakout performance
Mike McCarthy got the memo regarding Brandin Cooks usage.
After scoffing at reporters questions this week about Cooks not being featured much in the offense this season, McCarthy dialed up some looks for the speedster wideout early and often on Sunday.
Cooks had seven catches on seven targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in the first half alone.
He finished with a whopping nine catches for 173 yards.
CeeDee Lamb has another big day
As he has done for the last several weeks, CeeDee Lamb had another busy day at the office in this one.
Lamb started off the afternoon by making a spectacular, one-handed grab for a 30-yard gain.
Later in the first quarter, Lamb scored a 14-yard touchdown on an end-around run to put Dallas up 6-0.
Lamb finished with 11 catches for 151 yards. He becomes the first player in NFL history to have three straight games of at least ten receptions and 150 or more receiving yards.
Cowboys defense dominates Giants putrid offense
Tommy DeVito and the Giants offense didn't stand a chance against the Cowboys defense.
The stats will show that the Giants scored 17 points and had 172 yards of total offense. But it could have been far worse considering the game was out of hand by halftime.
New York had just one first down on offense in the first half and 15 in the second half thanks to Dallas pulling several starters. On the other side, Dallas doubled the Giants with 32 total first downs.
The Cowboys pass rush sacked DeVito five times and DaRon Bland intercepted the rookie, giving him five interceptions this season.
