GRIZZLIES REACH BUYOUT AGREEMENT WITH KENTAVIOUS CALDWELL-POPE
Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team reached a buyout agreement with wing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Caldwell-Pope (6-5, 204) appeared in 51 games (14 starts) for the Grizzlies last season and averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 21.9 minutes after he was acquired from the Orlando Magic on June 15, 2025.
The 33-year-old has competed in 963 games (784 starts) over his 13-year NBA career with the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets, Magic and Grizzlies and has averaged 11.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 29.2 minutes. Selected by Detroit with the eighth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft out of Georgia, the Thomaston, Ga., native won NBA championships with the Lakers in 2020 and the Nuggets in 2023.
