The Memphis Grizzlies begin a three-game road trip, the second three-game trip of a span of seven games in seven different cities... The Grizzlies will matchup with the Detroit Pistons for the second and final time this season (Memphis defeated Detroit 118-88 at FedExForum in the first matchup on Jan. 6). The Grizzlies have won 16 of their last 20 games on the road. Memphis has scored 135 points in each of its last two games, the first time in franchise history the Grizzlies have crossed the 130-point threshold in consecutive games... The Grizzlies are 16-0 when scoring at least 120 points this season. The NBA leaders in points in the paint, the Grizzlies have scored at least 60 paint points in six of their last seven games, posting 78 points inside in a 135-109 win Tuesday against the Clippers... It marked the 11th time this season the Grizzlies scored 70 paint points and the 26th time the team hit for 60. Memphis is 20 games above .500 for the first time since the end of the 2014-15 regular season. No NBA player scores more points in an individual quarter than Ja Morant does in the third this season... Morant, who scored 14 of his 30 points in the third quarter Tuesday, averages 9.2 points in third frames... Morant has not played in the fourth quarter in either of the last two games as Memphis has built leads of 27 and 30 points entering the final 12 minutes. Jaren Jackson Jr.
grabbed a career-high eight offensive rebounds (all in the first half) and scored a career-high 10 second chance points in Tuesday's win over the Clippers, helping Memphis outscore Los Angeles in the category 24-10... The Grizzlies lead the NBA in second chance points (18.1).

Grizzlies forward/center Xavier Tillman Sr. also played three years at Michigan State, teaming with Jackson Jr. when both were freshmen, and was named the 2019-20 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year as a junior.
