FedEx and Memphis Athletics Announce Department-Wide Jersey Patch Sponsorship

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – FedEx Corp. and the University of Memphis Athletics announced today that FedEx will be one of the first-ever jersey patch sponsorships, strengthening one of the most comprehensive brand collaborations in college athletics.


The iconic FedEx logo will be featured on the uniforms of all 19 men’s and women’s Tigers athletic programs starting with the 2026-27 athletic season. As part of the multi-year agreement announced last August, FedEx and Memphis Athletics united under the designation line: Moving Memphis Athletics Forward. Together.

“This jersey patch program builds on our support and reinforces our commitment to the University of Memphis,” said Jenny Robertson, senior vice president of global brand and communications at FedEx. “We’re proud to continue delivering meaningful opportunities to student-athletes in our hometown city.”

Prior to the 2025 football season, Memphis became one of the first programs in NCAA history to feature corporate branding in the endzones of a collegiate football field. In addition, the designation line and logo lockup were prominently featured on the sidelines of Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

“FedEx is more than a corporate partner; they are integral to the continued success of our department and the University as a whole,” senior vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics Ed Scott, Ph.D. said. “Their presence across our athletic programs and venues sends a powerful message about the strength of our brand and the level of talent we attract to Memphis. We are incredibly grateful for this support and excited to showcase it on a national stage every time our teams compete. I’d also like to thank our partners at Learfield’s Tiger Sports Properties for their role in bringing these activations to life.”

The unprecedented relationship with FedEx extends well beyond the jersey patch. The FedEx and University of Memphis Athletics logo lockup will be prominently displayed throughout all athletics venues and across a diverse portfolio of marketing assets on Memphis Athletics platforms, strengthening FedEx’s long-term commitment to the Tigers and the Memphis community. FedEx will continue to feature University of Memphis student-athletes in their marketing initiatives as part of their nationally recognized support for Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).

Tiger Nation will get its first glimpse of the new jersey patches on display at the Memphis Football Spring Fest on Saturday, April 18 at 3 p.m. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a replica football shirt-jersey featuring the iconic FedEx logo.
