On Monday night (3/3) the Memphis Grizzlies faced off against the Atlanta Hawks in a thrilling contest at FedExForum, ultimately falling 132-130. The Grizzlies struggled early, with a sloppy second quarter marked by 13 turnovers allowing the Hawks to take a 70-65 halftime lead. Despite missing Ja Morant (shoulder soreness) and Santi Aldama (calf injury), and losing Jaren Jackson Jr. to an ankle injury just two minutes in, Memphis mounted a comeback. Desmond Bane delivered a career-first triple-double with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, supported by Luke Kennard’s 17 points.
However, a late steal by Dyson Daniels with 3.8 seconds left set up Caris LeVert’s game-winning layup for Atlanta, confirmed after review.
LeVert finished with 25 points, while Zaccharie Risacher led the Hawks with 27. Trae Young added 12 points and 15 assists.
The loss marked Memphis’ third straight defeat decided in the final seconds at home.
