A poll on X also revealed (random social media sample) over 80% of those listeners approved of the Desmond Bane trade as of Tuesday morning (6/17).
Either way, the Memphis Grizzlies undeniably landed a haul for Bane which also lands them in the 2025 NBA Draft with a #16 overall pick.
The move signals a strategic reset: Bane’s departure frees up assets, while KCP adds veteran shooting and Anthony provides backcourt depth. Sure there may be other trade moves coming for Memphis, but chance seemed inevitable.
