Rookie Coward leads the Grizz in win over Clips 107 to 98

The Memphis Grizzlies wore down the Los Angeles Clippers 107–98 Friday night (12/5) at FedExForum in a hard-fought, back-and-forth game.

Rookie Cedric Coward led the charge for Memphis with a team-high 23 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, a dominant inside/outside presence that powered the Grizzlies. Big contributions also came from Cam Spencer and Jaylen Wells, who each scored 17 points, while Jaren Jackson Jr. added 13.

For the Clippers, veteran Kawhi Leonard scored 24 and added 8 rebounds, while James Harden had 18 points and 7 assists; John Collins contributed 16 points off the bench.

The game was tight through the fourth quarter with ten lead changes and nine ties before Memphis seized control. With 3:40 remaining and the game tied at 98, the Grizzlies went on a decisive 9-0 run to seal the victory.

Memphis improves to 10–13 on the season, and now leads the regular-season series against the Clippers 2–0.
