Wednesday night (12/17) in Minneapolis, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-110 at the Target Center. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 28 points and 12 rebounds, showcasing his two-way impact with efficient scoring and interior presence. Geoff Calkins discussed the win with the Daily Memphian's Chris Herrington on 92.9 FM ESPN (AUDIO):

Jock Landale provided a major lift off the bench, contributing 20 points and 10 rebounds, including four made three-pointers that helped Memphis pull ahead.

Jaylen Wells added 17 points, while Cedric Coward chipped in 13 and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 12, rounding out a balanced offensive effort. Santi Aldama hauled in 11 rebounds for Memphis, which shot 44% from the field and 84% from the free-throw line.

For the Timberwolves, Julius Randle paced Minnesota with 21 points, and Donte DiVincenzo finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Rudy Gobert posted a 16-point, 16-rebound double-double, while Naz Reid contributed 16 points in defeat. Despite outshooting Memphis 44% from three, Minnesota couldn’t contain the balanced Grizzlies attack late in the fourth quarter. Memphis improves to 13-14 on the season with the win.
