Grizzlies get 1st home win of the season, and streamers roll out at FedExForum (AUDIO)

Next Game: Grizzlies vs. Dallas Mavericks Friday, Pregame at 6PM on 92.9 FM ESPN

Today (11/30) 92.9 FM ESPN will get to play home highlights after a Memphis Grizzlies home victory in the 2023-24 season at FedExForum last night. It's the first one of the season, of course, and it comes just before November's end as the team's 4th overall victory. Final: Memphis Grizzlies 105 Utah Jazz 91

It was a much needed win for the Grizzlies, as they all are. But this one felt like a true team win. After the game Taylor Jenkins pointed that out. Much of it started with the revamped starting lineup. "Just felt like injecting Derrick [Rose] in the lineup, Santi [Aldama]’s been playing well, helping our bench. A variety of different things... challenging [David Roddy], defensive assignments. Those guys responded. [David Roddy] had a check of a first half. I thought he was locked in on the defensive side, let the game come to him on the offensive side. Derrick [Rose] was phenomenal tonight. Just his pace of play, nine assists, obviously the scoring ability... it was great. Obviously, Santi [Aldama] adjusting to the bench role... it took him until maybe about the second half to get into it, but overall, all those guys adapted well. Had a jolt. Obviously down one in the first quarter, but then even our bench came in. Ziaire [Williams] did a lot of great things defensively, offensively. I thought Vince [Williams Jr.] did some great things defensively for us. Overall, great team effort. Six guys in double figures, multiple assists for multiple guys. Jaren [Jackson Jr.], six blocks. I think that’s a season-high for him. It was a great effort by the group.”

It was a Derrick Rose vintage night:

Rose was +20 on the night with 14 points and 9 assists. Jaren Jackson Jr. led all Grizzlies scorers in that balanced attack with 20 points and 6 big blocks on the night.
