A "mostly" healthy Memphis Grizzlies starting 5, minus Jaren Jackson Jr., used new addition Zach Edey and an uptempo offense to beat the Dallas Mavericks 121 to 116 Monday night (10/7) on 92.9 FM ESPN. Monday night a healthy Brandon Clarke played the backup "5" role behind Zach Edey leading all scorers with 17 points in 21 minutes. Santi Aldama started for Memphis in the place of Jaren Jackson at forward and played well in 19 minutes scoring 11 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Ja Morant went 0-of-2 from the 3-point arc but managed several of his signature moves in 18 minutes scoring 13 points despite turning his ankle in the first half. Morant would return and said everything is fine.
