The Memphis Grizzlies have undoubtedly had a string of bad luck, not to mention the bad weather Monday for a national TNT television MLK special. Without Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke and Derrick Rose the Grizzlies beat a fully manned Golden State Warriors squad 116-107.
Memphis was led by Vince Williams Jr. with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Jaren Jackson had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and added 5 assists. But most striking was the play of Grizzlies rookie GG Jackson who was the postgame interview for TNT on the national broadcast after the win. GG Jackson finished with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Yes, the GG Jackson that was playing G-League games last week.
Next Game: Memphis travels Thursday to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves at 9:00 p.m. live on 92.9 FM ESPN.
