The Memphis Grizzlies fell 130–126 to the Utah Jazz at FedExForum, losing a tight contest despite strong performances and Ja Morant’s return from a calf injury. Utah’s Keyonte George erupted for a career-high 39 points and added 8 assists, hitting the go-ahead 22-foot jumper in the final minute and two free throws to seal the win. Lauri Markkanen contributed 26 points and nine rebounds, while Kevin Love chipped in 20 points to support the Jazz offense.
For Memphis, Santi Aldama led the scoring with 22 points, Morant finished with 21 points and 10 assists, and Cam Spencer drilled all six of his three-point attempts for 20 points. The Grizzlies shot well from deep but couldn’t overcome Utah’s late surge, Memphis led by 12 in the third quarter before the Jazz closed strong. Zach Edey was missed by the Grizzlies after being ruled out by the Grizzlies for at least 4 weeks due for medical reasons.
Cam Spencer was red-hot despite the loss going 6-for-6 from the 3-point arc.
