Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies will open the home slate of the 2024-25 regular season with Opening Night, presented by Robinhood, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m., as the team hosts the Orlando Magic at FedExForum. In addition to the start of a new season, fans will be treated to a full night of celebration for their favorite team, including the first 10,000 fans in attendance receiving a Grizzlies Classic Edition Reversible Bucket Hat.
Opening night tickets are still available. Fans can purchase tickets online at grizzlies.com/tickets, Ticketmaster.com, the FedExForum Box Office or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX.
The night will tip-off with a Plaza Party on the Big River Steel Plaza, starting at 5:30 p.m. with performances from Corey Lou and Da Village. The plaza mural will be updated, painted by local artist Cam the Artist, honoring the Grizzlies 30th Anniversary. The National Anthem will be performed by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jekalyn Carr. Memphian Project Pat will perform during player introductions. Grizz fans are encouraged to stay in their seats during halftime for a special performance by the Quad City DJ’s. In-game performances throughout the evening will include appearances from fan favorites Grizzlies Grannies and Grandpas, Grizz Girls, outfitted by Varsity Spirit, Blue Bunch, Grizzline, Kings of the Court, Gary Goin on the House band and DJ Mic Tee.
Fans entering FedExForum through the grand lobby will enjoy music from DJ Mic Tee, along with sign making and tattoo stations. Fans who access the Big River Steel Terrace Level via the north escalator will immediately enter the tip-off party zone with DJ J-Mack, and additional sign making. Fans who use the south escalator will have an opportunity to meet members of the Grizz Girls. This season, fans will find the game night photo booth in the Big River Steel Edge, near section 201.
The Grizzlies will get a 24-hour jump on the opening night activities with multiple events throughout the Mid-South. The Grizzlies will host a Plaza Party on the Big River Steel Plaza on Friday, Oct. 25, from 4-6 p.m., where the first 250 adult fans in attendance will receive a pair of Opening Night tickets, courtesy of Ja Morant and Nike. Nike will be on-site with a customized Ja truck and will be giving fans the opportunity to win exclusive merch, including the new Ja 2 colorways. In addition to the Plaza Party, the Ja truck will pop-up throughout the Mid-South all weekend long in celebration of the launch of the Ja 2’s. Free parking is available for fans, starting at 2 p.m., inside the Gossett Motors Garage.
The Grizzlies will celebrate Opening Night with Street Corners across the city, giving fans the opportunity to win autographed items, tickets to the home opener and other Grizzlies prizes. The play-by-play voice of the Grizzlies, Pete Pranica, will call the game alongside analyst Brevin Knight with Rob Fischer reporting courtside. Coverage on FanDuel Sports Network Southeast will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Grizzlies LIVE, presented by Ford and your Mid-South Ford Dealers, broadcast live inside FedExForum. Fischer will host the pregame show alongside Knight and Grind City Media’s Chris Vernon.
