The Memphis Grizzlies ran into a hot-shooting Phoenix team Wednesday night, falling 117–98 as the Suns controlled the game from start to finish. Phoenix set the tone early, knocking down shots from the perimeter and building a comfortable lead that Memphis never fully threatened. The Suns connected on 22 three-pointers and consistently made the Grizzlies pay for defensive breakdowns and turnovers.

Memphis showed some life coming out of halftime, briefly picking up the pace and moving the ball better, but every small run was met with a quick response from Phoenix. The Grizzlies struggled to string together stops and couldn’t generate enough offense to close the gap, shooting just 42 percent overall and 32 percent from three.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 19 points, but balanced scoring was hard to find as Phoenix’s depth kept the pressure on. No Grizzly scored more than 20 points on the night.
