The Golden State Warriors secured a 121-113 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday (1/4) at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Andrew Wiggins led the Warriors with 24 points, including 18 in the third quarter.
Both teams were without their star point guards: Stephen Curry was rested by the Warriors, and Ja Morant missed his fourth consecutive game for the Grizzlies due to a shoulder injury.
Lindy Waters III was instrumental in the final minutes, scoring eight of his 16 points to help the Warriors maintain their lead. Dennis Schröder contributed 17 points and nine assists, while Buddy Hield added 14 points.
The Warriors showcased impressive three-point shooting, hitting 23 of 43 attempts, with six players making three or more.
For the Grizzlies, Jaren Jackson Jr. led with 23 points and nine rebounds, and Desmond Bane added 22 points and 10 assists. Despite their efforts, Memphis couldn't overcome Golden State's perimeter shooting.
The game also featured the first NBA matchup between brothers Cam and Pat Spencer, adding a unique storyline to the Warriors' win.
