Desrosiers Jr. Tabbed as Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis football running back Greg Desrosiers Jr. has been named as the Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week, the SMU Athletic Forum announced Tuesday.
Memphis has now gone back-to-back weeks with the National Running Back of the Week award with teammate Sutton Smith being named last week.
Desrosiers Jr., a Lawrence, Mass. native, rushed for a career-high 204 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries to lead Memphis to a 55-26 win at Florida Atlantic, keeping the Tigers unbeaten at 5-0 and extending the nation’s longest active winning streak to nine games. Desrosiers Jr.’s 204 yards were the most by an American player this season and marked only the second time this season that an FBS player surpassed 200 yards on the ground.
His 90-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the longest rush by a Memphis Tiger since Herb Covington during the 1966 season.
New this year, fans are encouraged to purchase early and save. Ticket prices will increase by $5 during game week and again by an additional $5 on game day at the Box Office. This change helps support enhanced planning for security, concessions and staffing. Historically, over 90% of single-game tickets are purchased during game week.
Season ticket prices remain unchanged from 2024, following a perfect 7-0 home campaign. With prices averaging under $25 per game, season tickets remain the best value for Tiger fans. Tickets can be purchased online at GoTigersGo.com or by calling the Memphis Ticket Office at (901) 678-2331.

Memphis will return home next Saturday, Oct. 4 to take on Tulsa at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
