Despite committing 20 turnovers and recording only six assists, Memphis finished strong with a decisive 12-2 run in the final minutes. Harlond Beverly topped the Shockers with 18 points, but the Shockers's 22 turnovers and 3-of-16 shooting from beyond the arc hindered their efforts. The win improved Memphis's record to 15-4 overall and 5-1 in the American Athletic Conference.
