Jason & John played the audio from Sincere Parker's attorney following Parker's appearance in court on Monday (7/21). Parker has been charged by police with a domestic violence charge.
AUDIO:
Sincere Parker’s attorney, Arthur Horne, addressed the charges in Shelby County court on Monday, July 21.
Parker faces felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor vandalism for an alleged May 27 incident where he is accused of pushing, slapping, choking his girlfriend and damaging her phone. During the brief appearance, Horne stated clearly, “We plan on fighting this,” signaling the defense’s intention to contest both the assault and vandalism counts.
Bond was set at $120,000 after Parker was initially held without bond following his arrest on Saturday, but according to Horne should be reduced. The University of Memphis declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation. Parker, a recent transfer guard from McNeese State, will next appear in court on July 29 at 9 a.m. in Shelby County General Sessions Court Division 10.
