D-1 transfers were granted immediately eligibility Wednesday (12/16) meaning Memphis could immediately insert transfer Deandre Williams into their lineup against Tulane. Williams went on to be one of four Memphis Tigers to score in double figures with 10-points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists despite his minutes being limited due to foul trouble.
Final: Memphis 80 Tulane 74
DJ Jeffries had a breakout night against Tulane with a double-double 18 points and 11 rebounds. Lester Quinones shot very well from the 3-point arc going 4 of 7 from that range, 8 of 13 on field goal attempts for 20 points. Landers Nolley II had another big night with 18 points.
Ron Hunter's Tulane squad kept it close with the Tigers shooting a terrible 58.8% from the free throw line (20/34), but it was still plenty to take care of the Green Wave.
Now Memphis after another reset moment will take on Tulsa (1-3) on Monday (12/21/20) at FedExForum at 2 p.m. You can watch the game on ESPN2.
