Grizzlies take on the Nuggets on Friday at 8:00 p.m. with major Western Conference seeding implications

According to ESPN's Shams Charania the Denver Nuggets are moving on from coach Michael Malone.

Tuesday the Denver Nuggets shocked the NBA by firing head coach Michael Malone with just three games left in the regular season. Malone, who led the team to their first NBA championship in 2023, departs as the franchise’s winningest coach with a 471-327 record over 10 seasons.

The decision, announced alongside the dismissal of general manager Calvin Booth, comes as the Nuggets hold a 47-32 record, sitting fourth in the Western Conference. Team vice chairman Josh Kroenke stated the move aims to boost Denver’s chances of competing for the 2025 title. Assistant coach David Adelman will serve as interim head coach.

Memphis will travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Friday at 8:00 p.m. on 92.9 FM ESPN.
