Rockets guard Eric Gordon left with an ankle injury in the second quarter of Tuesday's scrimmage against the Boston Celtics.
Gordon left his feet to pass the ball into the paint to Robert Covington, but landed awkwardly, turning his left ankle.
Teammates carried Gordon to the locker room.
Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni said an X-ray for Gordon came back negative and he's only expected to be out a couple of days.
The Rockets begin the eight-game seeding schedule Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.
Gordon is a vital piece to their success. Gordon had been limited after having knee surgery during the season, but was expected to be at full strength with the NBA restart in Orlando.
