Aaron Rodgers, the 41-year-old four-time NFL MVP, will reportedly sign a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, concluding months of speculation about his future. After a challenging 5–12 season with the New York Jets, Rodgers was released and contemplated retirement. However, he apparently will choose to continue his career in Pittsburgh, where he is expected to bring veteran leadership to a team seeking stability at the quarterback position.
Rodgers is set to join the Steelers ahead of their mandatory minicamp on June 10 according to reports. His arrival follows the departures of quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, leaving the Steelers with Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, and rookie Will Howard. Rodgers' debut with the Steelers will be particularly notable, as it comes against his former team, the Jets, in Week 1. Fans are hopeful that Rodgers can lead Pittsburgh to its first playoff victory since 2017.
