Nashville appears poised to land one of the biggest sporting events in the world, with multiple reports indicating the city is expected to host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 at the new Nissan Stadium. NFL owners are reportedly set to approve the bid during league meetings, marking the first time the Super Bowl would be played in Tennessee.
The centerpiece of the bid is Nashville’s new $2.1 billion enclosed stadium scheduled to open in 2027. The venue was designed specifically with mega-events like the Super Bowl, Final Four and major concerts in mind.
Nashville’s booming tourism industry, entertainment district and national reputation as “Music City” helped strengthen the city’s case. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has previously called Nashville a “Super Bowl-ready city” following the success of the 2019 NFL Draft, which drew massive crowds downtown.
If finalized, the event could generate hundreds of millions in economic impact while placing Nashville on a global stage for an entire week of festivities and media coverage.
