The odds of Jason and Travis Kelce's teams meeting in the Super Bowl were astronomical, but the two brothers are slated to compete Sunday as each searches for their second championship.

Then again, Kelce was a sixth-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles out of the University of Cincinnati in 2011, and is now a five-time All-Pro with a legitimate chance at making the Hall of Fame whenever his career concludes. It's cliche, but it would have been almost unfathomable to project how Kelce's career would play out when it started.

Well, maybe not for Kelce himself:

Perhaps the most revealing part is when Kelce was asked whether he read criticisms of him as a prospect, and responded with this.

"I read them and I take them into account," Kelce said. "I've kind of always had a chip on my shoulder, I use it kind of as fuel. I think I'm a lot better than people portray me as, but I guess that goes with being a confident good player in collegiate football. I'm ready to prove a lot of people wrong, let's just put it that way."

It's unclear if Kelce, 35, will retire if the Eagles are victorious Sunday. But going out with another epic Super Bowl parade speech after winning his second title would be quite the exit for Kelce, who has drastically outperformed his draft position, just as he said he would.
