The St. Louis Cardinals veterans has certainly been watching the Braves-Astros World Series, being the massive fan of baseball that he is. He sent a tweet on Friday about the series that was tied 1-1 and made a comment about the possible over-reliance on the bullpen by both teams.

Apparently, one person on Twitter thought it would then be a good idea to take a swipe at the man who often wins Twitter (i.e. his annual family Halloween costumes, when he shares photos of his "old man walks" at MLB ballparks and that time he gave credit to his good luck charm). It was a mistake.

A user named mike b replied to Waino, saying:
"That's why your team is watching these team plays .. it's hunting season... Not cards in the series season... Go shoot something and let the good teams worry about baseball"

This is where the true roasting begins.

Wainwright then replied with a banner of the Cardinals' 11 World Series championship seasons.

But mike tried again. Saying in a now deleted tweet, "That's cool but you're watching this one right?"

Wainwright did some investigating before replying again. Here' where it gets really good:
"I am. Great series. Hard to win every year. I'm lucky to have been a part of 3 World Series teams (2 wins). You're a reds fan right? So you know what I'm saying... hard to win every year."

Poor mike. That last reply by Waino was retweeted more than 600 times. And the guy had to be reminded that his team has only made the playoffs six times in the last five decades.

Wainwright is still undefeated on Twitter. Not bad for a 40-year-old father of five.
