ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The 2024-2025 offseason for the St. Louis Cardinals could be an interesting offseason.
The Cardinals season has been over for over a month now, but the Cardinals have been active leading up to the official start of the MLB offseason.
The Cardinals already declined the options of pitchers Lance Lynn, Kyle Gibson, and Keynan Middleton, letting those three enter free agency alongside Matt Carpenter, Paul Goldschmidt and Andrew Kittredge.
In addition, the Cardinals have already announced the additions of Brant Brown and Jon Jay to the Cardinals coaching staff, while Chaim Bloom will becomes the Cardinals President of Baseball Operations after the 2025 season and they are putting more investment into player development.
The Cardinals head into an offseason where they are set to retool for the foreseeable future, leading to trade speculation for the likes of Ryan Helsley, Sonny Gray, Willson Contreras and Nolan Arenado.
