They have accumulated 35 penalties for 264 yards through the first three games of the 2019 season. They rank second in the league behind only the Cleveland Browns (35-for-327 yds).

In the Falcons first three games, they have 35 penalties for 264 yards. That is an insane number.

"In my opinion, from a discipline standpoint--from a fundamental standpoint--yesterday was even worse than week one was against the (Minnesota Vikings) because it happened all game long," Andy Bunker of the Midday Show said.

"The pre-snap penalties...to put yourself in that type of hole because of that lack of discipline seems to happen a lot with this team and I don't know why."

So who is to blame when it comes to penalties: head coach Dan Quinn or the players themselves?

"It always comes back to the coach," Randy McMichael said. "As a player, you got to take responsibility on yourself. Dan Quinn is not out there jumping offsides."

"When your team is undisciplined and doing these things, you're always going to get it (as a head coach)...It's his team, and as a head coach, we all know that it all goes back to the top guy."
