The Atlanta Braves bullpen was dreadful again in a 9-6 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
After starter Max Fried exited the game after six innings of work with a secure 5-2 lead. But a disastrous 7th inning by the middle relief left fans with more questions than answers. It took 48 pitches to get out of the inning for the Braves bullpen--32 to record an out--giving up four runs.

April 17, 2019 So, how do the Braves fix their glaring bullpen problems?
"It has to be fixed somehow," Randy said. "Even if you let (the starters) go seven. Then, if you let them go seven, you're still going to be at a point where you're like 'Oh God, here comes (Jesse) Biddle. I don't think there's any way you can change it unless you make an upgrade to that spot."
Andy Bunker believes the only viable way for the Braves to fix their relief situation to make a trade, if they're not going to use their young arms.
"When you have so much talent in the minor league system...that gives you a little bit of leeway to take a risk and sign a guy and give up a second-round draft pick," Andy said.
"They don't want to put them in the bullpen, and they don't want to move on from them," Randy agreed.
