The Atlanta Braves lost one of their most productive members in their lineup last season: Josh Donaldson.
The veteran third baseman agreed to a 4-year, $92 million deal with the Minnesota Twins.
Donaldson’s deal with the Twins is four years and $92 million guaranteed ($23 million AAV), per source. The deal includes a fifth-year club option that could bring the total to $100 million. It’s the second-biggest deal in history for a player age 33 or older.

So where do the Braves go from here?
"Today, right now, the Braves are worse than they were at the end of last--I know that they improved the bullpen; that's great, I'm happy about that--but their lineup is worse today than it was at the end of last year," Andy Bunker said.
The Braves currently have two guys on the roster that could potentially replace Donaldson: Austin Riley and Johan Carmargo.
There have also been reports the Braves have expressed interest in Colorado Rockies' Nolan Arenado and Chicago Cubs' Kris Bryant.
"I think they can compete, but I don't want to have to say 'I think they can compete.' (I want to say) 'I know they can compete'...I don't know what this lineup looks like. A platoon at the cleanup spot?"
