What can change between now and the NBA draft?

Atlanta Hawks broadcaster Steve Holman joined John and Hugh on Wednesday morning following the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery and not only is he pleased with the results, he also tells Hawks fans that what we saw last night may not be what we see on draft night.

"There's 36 days between now and draft day," Holman said. "There's going to be a lot of stuff happening and Travis (Schlenk) is going to be right in the middle of it all. Anything can happen between now and June 20, so I don't think what happened last night is set in stone."

Steve also saw how the front office, coaches, and players reacted and why things are going to be just fine.

All you gloom and doom Hawks fans are cracking me up. Getting 8 and 10 was pretty much where the statistical odds had them.Schlenk has two top ten picks. That gives him lots of options over the next month.Everyone chill. Could have been way worse. Ask the Suns.

"The attitude that everybody's got right now is we're in a very good place right now going forward," Steve said. "He also spoke direcdtly to the fans:

"If Hawks fans are hanging their heads, don't be," said the long-time Hawks announcer. "Eight and 10, you could do a lot worse than two top-10 picks going forward."
