While the Atlanta Falcons season as a whole hasn't met expectations this season, that can't be said for defensive tackle Grady Jarrett.

Jarrett added to his stats in Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers, logging six tackles (1.5 tackles for loss).

The 2015 fifth-year draft pick has a career high 65 tackles with two games remaining this season. He also has 5.5 sacks on the year (which should really be 6.5 if not for a bogus roughing-the-passer call on 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

"We didn't expect anything different from Grady Jarrett once he got his well-deserved contract extension," Randy McMichael said.

Jarrett and the Falcons agreed to a four-year, $68 million contract extension prior to the league's franchise tag deadline.

"He's been an example; he's definitely the MVP of this team this year, and hopefully they'll find some other guys to put around him," McMichael continued.

"When you have a great player, you've got to put other great players around him--not great but other consistent players around him. You've got to do that in order to make Grady even better. Grady's not even in his prime yet."
