Voice of the Atlanta Hawks Steve Holman joined John Fricke and Hugh Douglas on Thursday's Morning Show and while chatting about the Hawks overall performance this season couldn't help but heap the praise on first-year head coach Lloyd Pierce.

"He's been the perfect coach for this team and these guys," said Holman. "In Philadelphia the last few years for "The Process," he's got this team way ahead of where anybody thought we'd be at this point."

Holman also discusses how the growth of the team this season could be a draw for bigger names.

"This team has some great possbilities and a lot sooner than later," said Holman. "I think they're going to jump right into this thing very quickly and of course there's a lot of money for free agents available over the next couple of years. The big-name players, I think we can get them here. I have full confidence in everyone involved to bring in some big names here eventually.

Holman closes with a discussion about the Hawks draft picks that aren't top 10 and how the team can find value there.

"Whoever they take, you know will be what they look for as far as a person, a player, and the chemistry thing is so important," said Holman. "You can't just load up on stars all the time. You have to have role players and those are important guys to pick too."
