3 Games to Watch on Saturday

To be honest, there are only three games tomorrow that really matter.

Now, every other game can be intriguing. Maybe we will have some upsets, but come on listen to this slate.

Bama’s got 4-5 Miss State. Penn State has unranked Indiana at Beaver Stadium. Flordia has Missouri, Ohio state is 52-point favorites against Rutgers. Clemson is 34-point favorites against Wake Forest and LSU is 21.5-point favorites against Ole Miss.

Now. Not an easy game to win because it’s on the road although Georgia should have WR Lawrence Cager after leaving the Missouri win with an injury.

Couple of things to watch for here.

Jake Fromm vs the best defensive front in the nation. Derrick Brown. Marlon Davidson. Tyrone Tuesdell and Nick Coe will test this UGA front. Auburn’s defense is allowing 17.4 points per game (Best in the SEC) and is 3rd in the SEC against the run.

It’s very likely Jake Fromm will have to throw his way to a win in this one. Something he has done once all year (Florida).

Now, his counterpart Bo Nix has been up and down this year. Nix did not play well against the two best teams he’s faced, LSU and Florida, however those were on the road.

HOWEVER, Bo Nix is averaging a 48.5% comp percentage on the road vs a 65% completion percentage at home. Auburn also has big play WR Seth Williams and Anthony Schwartz ready to go.

The difference in this game? UGA’s defense. One final test before the SEC Title Game. They have passed every test they have faced and have carried Jake Fromm and this offense to the one-loss season they are at right now.

The last 3 matchups have been decided by 17 points or more. That changes tomorrow. UGA wins a close one 20-17.

Only 3 games matter tomorrow, just finished UGA/Auburn. Next is #8 Minnesota on the road vs #20 Iowa.

Tanner Morgan is the best QB in CFB that you’ve never heard of. Fourth in passer efficiency right behind Hurts, Tua and Burow. Third in yards per attempt and just dropped 339 yards and 3 TDS against Penn State last week.

Rashon Bateman and Tyler Johnson are NFL receivers and Iowa’s secondary is good but can get beat deep.

Minnesota backs up it’s huge Penn State win with a 27-17 win over Iowa. Iowa is just a Northwestern and Wisconsin game away from a date with Ohio State in the Big 10 Title Game.

Finally, the one I’m watching the most. #13 Baylor vs #10 Oklahoma.

Largest crowd expected in Baylor history and I’ve been at sold out games in McLane Stadium and trust me folks. It seats like 43k but it can be LOUD.

Here’s the deal. Oklahoma’s offense is averaging 48.4ppg but when you actually watch their games, they can be really spotty. In their one loss on the road against Kstate. OU failed to score in the 3rd quarter. Last week against Iowa State in Norman, Oklahoma scored just 7 points in the entire second half. Blew a 3 TD lead and almost lost on a 2- point conversion.

Baylor’s defense is the best in the BIG 12 and if they can stop Sooner WR Ceedee Lamb, they have a shot.

Biggest problem for Baylor. Can they score enough points? Baylor combined for 5 turnovers against their last two opponents and have allowed 24 sacks this year.

I think Baylor plays really well. Has a chance to win it late, but I’m picking Oklahoma, 30-24.
