“I liked the showing, Notre Dame is a little better that people think,” Dooley said. “They came to play and they played us good. Their quarterback is good, the tight end is dang good, and I like the test and [it] will make our football team realize they still have some things to get better at.”
Coach told the guys he likes a win when you get tested.
“I always like a victory where we get tested,” Dooley said. “When you blow someone out you go in and start talking to them on what they need to work with and they look at you like you’re crazy. They’ll be working this week because there are things to work at, that’s for sure.”
Dooley talked about UGA’s offensive line needing to work on run blocking.
“We didn’t have the running room that we thought we would have,” Dooley said. “The yardage was tough yardage, and that’s a tribute to Notre Dame. And we’re not the super blocking team that we thought we were, and that’s another thing we need to work on.”
