WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder joined Dukes and Bell on Radio Row at Super Bowl 53. Wilder on his fight with Tyson Fury, “A lot of prayers that night around him, I’m still trying to figure it out myself, when you hit a guy and see his eyes roll into the back of his head and his body is stiff on the canvas, and then you see a man get up either you got a lot of prayers or you have a spell on you.”

Wilder then talked about the affect the Fury fight has had on his career, “It definitely has raised my profile, it’s been nonstop for me since the fight no matter what country in the world I am, people know my story and raised my limelight, everything is going like my spoken existence, when you speak it into existence.”

When asked abouta second fight with Tyson Fury will be, “It’s going to be here in America, it’s either Vegas or Brooklyn and they are coming on very strong, they are putting in some big discussions about this fight happening. Fights can be anywhere in the world, it’s just about the money.”

Wilder told Dukes and Bell why a fight with Anthony Joshua hasn’t’ happened yet, “His people didn’t want to make the fight, it’s sad but it’s true, when a man offers you a $15 million flat fee for a fight of this magnitude. This is over a $100 million dollar fight, so you know already that he doesn’t want to do this fight, I put my pride aside and accepted the $15 million dollar flat fee and he declined it, he then asked for $50 million to do the fight and he declined that.”
