For three weeks now, Georgia fans have silently been waiting for their football season to start. Yes, yes... they technically are 3-0 with big wins over Vanderbilt, Murray State, and Arkansas State. But those were cake-walk wins over two schools UGA had to pay to play and one who is a bottom SEC team.
This coming Saturday, UGA’s regular season begins with a prime time top-10 matchup between No. 3 Georgia and No. 7 Notre Dame.
This is a massive game. It is the most expensive college football ticket of the season. Nose-bleed seats are averaging $350 dollars on second-hand ticket sites, and CBS used its one flex of the year to move the game to prime time.
With all that being said, not only is this a huge game for Georgia, this is a huge game for Jake Fromm.
Lose and you’re basically eliminated from Playoff contention. Win and you are well on your way to a date with Bama in the SEC Title game and one last shot at the CFB Playoff.
