92-9 the Game's own Sam Crenshaw joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the GHSA’s ruling on delaying the season by two weeks, what this means for the Corky Kell Kickoff Classic to start the season, and is this the right move?

Sam talked about Monday’s meeting where the GHSA decided to push back the start of the season.

“About 8-6 to vote by the trustees not to start on schedule, and then the agreement was unanimously by 12-0 vote to go two weeks later,” Crenshaw said. “Regular season than the regular starting date they’re going to push it back to September 4, and they still believe they have 12 weeks to play 10 games.”

Sam gave the guys some insight on why they might have voted to push back the start.

“There are some teams that are in quarantine that have had positive tests. Teams are not practicing because they are in quarantine, and one of them is a team that is scheduled to play in the Corky Kell Kickoff Classic,” Crenshaw said. “So those are things that are out, and you realize you’re going to start two weeks late to give some teams who are dealing with things like this a chance to get things cleared up.”
