Austin Riley’s mammoth home run on Monday helped propel the Braves to an 8-4 victory over the Cardinals. Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuña Jr. also contributed to the offense to bring the Braves to a 3-1 start to the 2023 campaign.
Riley says that the Braves lineup, one through nine, can be one of, if not the deepest in baseball.
“One through nine can change the game with one swing of the bat, and it’s fun to be a part of," Riley said postgame.
Carl Dukes and Mike Bell marveled at Riley’s power and the Braves offense.
“You’re like, where is that going,” Dukes said admiring Riley’s power. Apparently it’s the third-longest home run at the new Busch Stadium since they revamped it.
