The Atlanta Braves came out of the All-Star break looking to make moves to improve the team after losing Ronald Acuña, Jr. for the rest of the season.
The Braves added Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson via trade on Friday, and in the early-morning hours on Saturday traded for Diamondbacks catcher Stephen Vogt. Both moves improve positions that were deficient, but the Braves still have one glaring hole that needs to be addressed in order for this team to make a serious playoff run, and that is to improve the bullpen.
The Braves don't need to make drastic bullpen moves like the team did before the 2019 trade deadline. But the bullpen does need an arm or two. The bullpen could use a setup guy for closer Will Smith and another reliever for the 6th and 7th innings.
