Braves in control of NLCS as pressure shifts to Dodgers

Braves win 8-7 for the 2-0 series lead and are undefeated in the 2020 postseason

The Braves took a 2-0 series lead on Tuesday night over the Dodgers in the NLCS with an 8-7 victory that had Braves fans biting their fingernails in the ninth inning.

Despite the bullpen issues in the late innings, the Braves are in a great spot to advance now. In MLB history, teams that have a 2-0 series lead advance 85 percent of the time.

Even knowing the history of Braves teams being up 2-0 (think '96 World Series), Braves fans are confident the team will advance to the World Series, and they should be!

John and Hugh talk about the Braves being in the driver's seat in this series and why they are in a great position to advance.

"We are in position to go to the World Series, the pressure is on them right now," says Hugh Douglas. "You want to maintain your focus knowing that this thing can turn at any moment."

Game 3 of the NLCS is set for 6:05pm ET on Wednesday evening and the expected starters are Kyle Wright for the Braves and Julio Urias for the Dodgers.
