Atlanta Braves World Series champion reliever Tyler Matzek joined The Midday Show on Wednesday to discuss everything from his offseason, his championship parade debacle and Freddie Freeman's contract.
The one topic on the minds of all Braves fans, and Matzek's as well, is Freddie Freeman's free agency.
The Braves and Freeman went into the MLB lockout without a new contract. Both parties have made it known they want a deal to work out, but yet an agreement has not been made.
How certain is Matzek that Freeman will return as a Brave?
"I trust that we'll get this thing done," Matzek told Andy and Randy. "I think Freddie's going to come back. I hope he does, at least.
"What I think he means to Atlanta is just so much. He's been there, he's won a World Series, he's brought a title to the city so I think that it's time to repay him. But hey, you know, it's out of my control. That's what other people get paid to be worried about."
