The Braves beat the Dodgers 4-3 to avoid being swept with help from another strong outing from Bryce Elder. Elder now leads the National League with a 2.01 ERA.
Bally Sports Braves Analyst and former Braves Pitcher Kris Medlen joined Andy and Randy and broke down why Elder is having the success he's had so far this season and why it is sustainable.
"If you take a look at the style there are so many guys who are 2-pitch pitchers," says Kris Medlen. "For Bryce Elder, he doesn't throw 100 and he doesn't have the greatest slider, but he has 3 amazing pitches that look the exactly same."
Bryce Elder is 3-0 with a 2.01 ERA this season and has gone 5 or more innings in all 10 of his starts this season, with his worst start being one in which he went 5.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs in a Braves win over the Miami Marlins.
