Grant Holmes turned in another short outing last night, lasting just 3.2 innings and once again placing a heavy burden on the bullpen. While he has mixed in a handful of quality starts over the past two months, those performances have been outweighed by too many abbreviated outings that force relievers to cover significant innings. As the season progresses, it's fair to wonder whether the Braves might consider a change in the rotation, with Holmes potentially shifting into a bullpen role.
Could Grant Holmes be moved out of the Braves rotation?
