Braves could be on verge of surpassing 1994 pre-All-Star break record

Could the 2023 Atlanta Braves surpass the 1994 Atlanta Braves with the most pre All-Star wins in team history?

Back in 1994, the Atlanta Braves entered the All-Star break with a star-studded lineup featuring the likes of David Justice, Fred McGriff, and Greg Maddux. Not only did they have an impressive representation in the All-Star Game, but they also boasted a franchise-best record of 53-35, a record that still stands to this day.

Fast forward to the 2023 season, and the current Atlanta Braves are well on their way to surpassing that longstanding record. With a current record of 40-25 with 25 games left to play before the All-Star break, breaking the record is within reach. The team simply needs to secure 14 victories out of their remaining 25 games.

Fortunately, they have upcoming matchups against struggling teams such as the Detroit Tigers, Colorado Rockies, Cincinnati Reds, and Minnesota Twins, which should provide favorable opportunities for the Braves to continue their winning ways. Additionally, the Braves have proven to be a formidable force, ranking among the top three in home runs so far this season.

The All-Star Game itself is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 11, at 8:00 p.m. at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. It's an exciting time for the Braves as they strive to not only dominate the regular season but also etch their names in the record books with a new franchise-best record.
