Bally Sports Braves analyst Nick Green joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the team advancing to the NLCS, and should Braves fans be pulling for the team to play the Dodgers or the Giants for the chance to go to the World Series.
Green talked about if he has a preference who the Braves play in the NLCS.
“I do have a preference and it’s San Fran, it’s hard because when you look at both of those teams they’re both really good, right,” Green said. “But LA to me is just on another level as far as the talent on that roster, yea Kershaw is out, Max Muncy being out is a big deal too. But everybody they put in performs, and when you look at the way rotation is setup for them, it’s gonna be set up with Scherzer game one and Walker Buehler game two, that to me presents a lot of challenges. If they got to San Fran, Logan Webb who absolutely dealt against the Braves in two starts goes in game five tomorrow, so he’s not going to be available to game three. So now you’re going Gausman and Alex Wood, I like those matchups better.”
“When you look at the Dodgers team as a whole, even though it would be home field advantage for the Braves I just think it’s a tougher matchup.”
