The last two off-seasons have seen the Braves lose two very large presences in the clubhouse in Freddie Freeman, and Dansby Swanson.
Even with those two gone, it'll be the Braves collection of players that will fill those leadership roles, according to Justin Toscano of the AJC.
Justin joined this morning's Steakhouse as Spring Training is getting ready to begin, and one of the big question marks is what's going to happen to this team with with no Dansby? "Walking in yesterday, there wasn't a feel of 'Where's Dansby', Justin told Steak and Sandra this morning.
This is based on a couple of major reason, according to Justin. First, timing. The Braves have had time to adjust to the news that Dansby is no longer here, as he signed with the Cubs in December. Second, this is a team that has a strong collection of players. "The Clubhouse has a lot of leaders. Guys will step up."
And that collection of strong voices in the clubhouse is a result of the work that Alex Anthopoulos constructing this roster. "He used to when he was in Toronto maybe value the back of the baseball card a little more, and now values chemistry and make up a little more heavily than he used to", Justin added.
For this Braves team to continue to have success, chemistry and make up are going to be crucial.
