Is Ronald Acuña Jr. having the 'best season ever' by a Braves outfielder

Kris Willis of Battery Powered shares his thoughts on where Ronald Acuña Jr.'s season ranks among Braves' outfielders all-time

“Do you think maybe Ronnie’s having the best season ever for an outfielder in the Braves’ organization?” That was 92-9 The Game’s Jon Chuckery’s question to Kris Willis of Battery Powered on Wednesday night as the two discussed the Atlanta Braves and the leadoff hitter. Historically, the evening host points to the fact that Atlanta has had their fair share of standout players.

From Hank Aaron to Chipper Jones, the Braves have had sone of Major League Baseball’s best players in history on their roster, however Chuckery tells Willis that he believes Acuña Jr. “looks like the most dominant player in the national league and maybe in Major League Baseball right now. He’s on a different stratosphere from most other players in the National League,” Chuckery tells Willis.

As Willis shared his thoughts on Chuckery’s question, he made note that Acuña Jr.’s growth “at the plate I think has been remarkable,” Willis stated and he would add that the way Acuña Jr. took his strikeout rate down by 10 percent with the addition of maintaining his power with the bat and his base stealing ability, “he’s certainly in the conversation, there’s no doubt about that,” in regards to whether or not Acuña Jr. is having the “greatest season of any Braves’ outfielder”.
