Raheem Morris wants 'the best fit for our city' at quarterback

Falcons Head Coach Raheem Morris and General Manager Terry Fontenot met the media Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Both also appeared on 92.9 The Game on The Midday Show with Andy & Randy. The most obvious question that needed to be asked was about the plan at quarterback for the team. While not allowed to comment on specific players, reporters did their best to ask about the type of player wanted in the city.

Raheem Morris also made an appearance on CBS NFL and discussed another aspect of importance for QB 1. Morris discussed finding a quarterback that “fits the city” in terms of being the best representative possible for Atlanta in terms of culture and fit. Atlanta had two very different quarterbacks in Mike Vick and Matt Ryan that were both able to tackle that obstacle and fill the seats.

The one thing that remains clear is that the duo is leaving all options on the table. Both committed to that philosophy Tuesday. Whoever the next quarterback is will have been well researched for not just their play on their field but their ability to connect with the Falcons’ fanbase.
